District Four was created in 1904 to serve the citizens of "Bay View." Located on South Allis Street between Lincoln Avenue and Bay
Street, the "Bay View Station" was staffed by one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, and thirty seven Patrolmen. The Fourth District was later
absorbed by District Two in 1953 and disappeared.
In 1965 it was resurrected at its current location at 6929 West Silver Spring Drive to serve the residents of the far northwest side of the
city. In the early 1960's, population began to shift to the northwest side of the city and new neighborhoods seem to keep appearing every
month.
